Our stories shape our lives. They help us realize our greatest potentials. We look to our stories, our histories, to illuminate our understanding of ourselves, and our future.
Yet throughout the telling of history across the colonized world, the stories of women of color, have been overlooked, forgotten or even hidden…until now.
Making History Hers is a new platform dedicated to the discovery, experience and creation of history from the perspective of women of color.
With the help of leading scholars of women’s history and collaborations with celebrated artists (actors, dancers, singers, painters, sculptors, designers, directors and writers) we will vividly and multi-dimensionally unveil the stories of women who have achieved monumental goals and helped shape the fabric of our country through documentaries, live theater experiences and art exhibits.
